Bridgeway Community Health is Hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse Near Salem, OR

Bridgeway Recovery Services is currently seeking qualified
Licensed Practical Nurses (NOC Shift (6PM - 6:30AM)
$32-$40 hourly rate/DOE
Differential pay of $3/hour for work hours from10:30PM to 6:00AM
to join our growing Medically Managed Withdrawal treatment team!

If you're a night owl with awesome Nursing Skills, we have the perfect position for you! We currently are seeking Licensed Practical Nurses.
We offer competitive wages in an environment with a fantastic team to work with! The successful candidate would be responsible for exceptional nursing care to our clients, with a focus on the provision of direct care that promotes health, prevents disease, and treats the individual.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

  • Administers medications and performs treatments and procedures under the direction of a nurse practitioner or physician.
  • Completes accurate and thorough medical documentation, which may include clients' medical charts, medication records, any pertinent observations, computerized dispensing and pharmacy records, and required state or department database entry.
  • Conducts nursing assessments on all inpatient clients. Conducts and documents initial and ongoing focused nursing assessments of clients' health status. Reports findings to the Registered Nurse or licensed physician as needed. Utilizes appropriate physician standing orders.
  • Prepares and dispenses or provides for the dispensing of appropriate medication or treatment. Provides client assessments as appropriate and evaluates for side effects and potential interactions. Adheres to accepted medical practices and medication management per OAR/ORS.
  • Updates and maintains prescription records for treatment and all medical records associated with the storing and dispensing of medications. Complies with federal, state, and program requirements related to record-keeping and documentation.
  • Coordinates client appointments with physician(s).
  • At the direction of a physician, educates clients about other disease processes and refers them as needed to other medical agencies for follow-up for health-related issues.
  • Maintains records of nursing services, including the recording of statistics and compilation of requested reports.
  • Prepares and labels specimens. Maintains clinic equipment and supplies.
  • Charts on all clients seen for medical support.
  • Participates in discharge planning for client's ongoing medical needs.
  • Conducts T.B. skin testing on all inpatient clients who are in treatment for more than 30 days.
  • Conducts annual T.B. skin testing on all inpatient and staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience*

  • Graduation from a state-accredited school of Nursing program,
  • A current and unencumbered license to practice as a Licensed Professional Nurse in the state of Oregon at the time of appointment
  • One (1) year of Licensed Practical Nursing experience is highly preferred. New graduates of an accredited nursing program may be considered.
  • Or any satisfactory equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience relevant to the position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of and skill in performing current nursing practice;
  • Ability to apply nursing knowledge and principles and policies underlying the administration of a nursing service;
  • Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of individuals in the course of medical treatments; Ability to maintain confidential records and information;
  • Ability to accept and abide by supervision received;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;
  • Skilled in English usage and in basic mathematics;
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and the public;
  • Qualified candidates must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Compensation:

  • $34/hour - $40/hour, depending on relevant work experience.
  • An additional stipend is available for Spanish/English bilingual employees.
  • An additional $3/hour differential pay is paid for work hours from 10:30 PM - 6:00 AM.
